St John's Primary School, Carnlough

Primary 4

Hello from Primary 4!

Term three is well underway now and the hard work continues in P4!

Our topic from now until the end of term is Ahoy There!  Through the topic, we will be finding out about pirates and their traditions.  We will focus on several pirates in particular and will research as much information about them as possible.  Then we will use iPads to make books to share the information we have learned with others.  We will write messages in bottles, make treasure maps and make lots of pirate resources through arts and crafts.

On Sunday 19th May we received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.  It was a very special day.  As part of our faith journey we will continue to attend mass every Monday morning until the end of term.

In June we will be going on our school trip and we are very excited about it! It will be a really fun day out.  Notes will be sent home soon with information about the trip.

We are still enjoying our visits to Carnlough library every Thursday morning.  Julie and Norman are so helpful to us when we are looking for topic books and books by authors we enjoy.  The library is free to join so if anyone wants to become a member the forms are available in the library.

Keep checking the website for updates on what we have been getting up to in class.

Bye for now!
