St John's Primary School, Carnlough

Primary 4

Hello from everyone in primary 4

It is hard to believe we have started a new school year and are already at the end of September. We are really looking forward to the year ahead. We have decided on Reduce, Reuse and Recycle as our topic this term. We know that this is a very important topic not just in the local environment but across the world. We will be learning how to reduce waste and discovering what we can reuse or recycle. We are also carrying out an investigation to find out which rubbish will rot and which will not. Check the website for photographs!

Primary Four children will attend mass every Monday morning at 9.30am in preparation for making their Holy Communion.

P4 have PE every Tuesday afternoon and it is advisable to bring a change of shoes for this.

Children in P4 visit Carnlough Library every Thursday after break time. Children are encouraged to borrow and return books during these visits.  If your child does not have a library card, forms are available from the P4 classroom or from Carnlough Library.

Friday afternoon is Golden Time for children as a reward for working really hard during the week. Children are allowed to bring a toy or game from home to play with their friends for one hour.

Please keep checking our page to find out more about what we have been learning!

Bye for now!
