Bushmills Adventure!

22nd Nov 2017

P7 pupils have just returned from their three-day residential in Bushmills where they had a great time doing numerous outdoor activities including: canoeing on the Rv. Bann, climbing the high ropes (10 & 15m high), orienteering in Downhill Forest and completing an obstacle course in Ballintoy Harbour. The pupils also did other activities in the evening such as writing their own diaries about what had happened during each day, a dance-off, a table quiz and a concert where they could tell jokes or sing a song. However, it was not all fun and games, the P7s also had to make their own beds as well as set the tables and sweep the dining room floor before every meal. The instructors were impressed by the pupils’ behaviour, the way they supported each other in all the activities and how well they listened to and carried out instructions. In a follow-up activity, the pupils will now write letters to the different people including the dinner ladies who helped to make their stay so enjoyable and so memorable.
