P5/6 took advantage of the bright day to visit the beach and complete a scavenger hunt. They worked with a partner to collect items on their lists. They found lovely coloured sea glass, different types of shells and decorated ceramics. Cormaic found a very large ‘woodlouse’ type creature which when released camouflaged itself into the sand. James discovered a ‘mermaids purse’. This is a a pouch which can be mistaken for seaweed but actually contains shark eggs. The boys and girls all had a great time being back together with their friends enjoying our wonderfull beach in Carnlough.
