For the month of November we are exploring Windy Autumn as our topic in Primary 1 and Primary 2. Today we had lots of fun on our Windy Autumn walk. In true Autumn fashion we experienced sun, wind, rain and a rainbow during our walk. We’ve been talking a lot about the effects of the wind and today was perfect for experiencing it first hand… we tested many ways to work out the direction of the wind, we explored wind as a force running into it and with it, we observed the effects of the wind on water and on other things like our hair and clothes, we wobbled with the trees as they swayed in the wind and the best part was waiting for the wind to carry our leaves during our Leaf Race!
The boys and girls found so many signs of Autumn and enjoyed its beautiful colours! Hopefully we get another windy day soon to test out the kites we are working on 😁
