As we have been focusing on different types of sorting we decided it would be good idea to use the outdoors for Maths Week as there are lots of things to sort outside in Autumn. We went on an Autumn walk and gathered a certain number of items. Miss Donnelly incorporated some problem solving questions along the way to make sure we were using our thinking caps to help us work out the answers. We then took our findings inside and sorted them in different ways. We had to think of as many different ways to sort using the materials we had gathered as well. A great few lessons had by all!
