Carnlough Heritage Hub Visit
Today we all went on a very rainy walk to Carnlough Heritage Hub to meet with Mary Watson. Mary told us all about the history of Carnlough and gave us lots of information about Lady Londonderry. She showed us maps of Carnlough from 1825 and we compared it to a map from 1859 - there was a big increase in the number of houses and buildings within those years. We will compare these maps to a recent map to see how much our village has grown and transformed over the years. After our talk, we had opportunities to complete different activities, such as jigsaws, picture rubbings, watching a video and dressing up in costumes from the past! You will see how much we enjoyed our visit from the photos below! A huge thank you to Mary for opening the Heritage Hub and spending time sharing her knowledge with us.
