Maths - Using Our Environment
15th Sep 2020
Primary 5 and 6 went outside today for their maths lesson on 2D shapes. As a Forest School, we encourage the use of our school grounds and surrounding areas for all our lessons. Today the boys and girls worked with a partner to make 2D shapes using natural materials. They had to plan what they needed and then make their shapes. Each pair needed to chat about the properties of the shapes using the correct mathematical language. What a great way to teach the names and properties of shapes!
