Maths Week 2020
St. John's celebrated Maths Week this week and focused mainly on number work. We used our fantastic outdoors to help embed learning. Each class used a range of process strands linked to the Northern Ireland Curriculum. There was progression evident from class to class.
Primary 1 focused on number formation and sorting using tree diagrams.
Primary 2 focused on number bonds to 10 as well as a problem solving.
Primary 3 focused on tens and units with a problem solving walk too.
Primary 4 focused on HTU and partioning numbers
Primary 5/6 focused on timetables
Primary 7 focused on decimals using money.
Many thanks to Maurice Killough from Costcutters for donating ice lollies to our P7 pupils.
Using the the outdoor classroom meant the sky was our limit, we all had a great maths week, well done everyone!
