P1 had so much fun last week learning about Humpty Dumpty. We covered all areas of the curriculum with this nursery rhyme and even rolled our Humpty Dumpty eggs down the hill to see would any crack and could we put them back together again. Some cracked so we had to give them a plaster to try and put them back together again and make them feel better soon.
We counted how many eggs were on the wall, sequenced the nursery rhyme, role played it, cooked different types of eggs and had a lovely break one morning sampling eggs and toast. We went to the beach to gather stones to make a wall for Humpty Dumpty, completed brick rubbings outside on the walls and tested which material was strongest to build a wall with.
