P7 have been working on area and perimeter within Numeracy. Today we took a walk in to the village to find the area and perimeter of different objects and structures in and around the harbour. It really tested the children’s mental maths skills as they worked in pairs to find the measurements using rulers and meter sticks and then added/multiplied the measurements to work out the perimeter and area. Back in school they have a little problem solving work and interpreting if their data to complete. Great work P7!
