St John's Primary School, Carnlough

Primary 3/4

Hello from everyone in P3/4!

It is hard to believe we are in our third term already!  Our topic for the next 5 weeks will be The Farm.  Through this topic, the children will be learning about the many different aspects of the farm, including farm safety, caring for the different animals, and the journey of farm produce from the farm to the shop, such as milk and vegetables.  A farm shop will be set up to develop a variety of skills across the curriculum.  Keep checking the website for photographs!

Primary Four children continue to attend mass every Monday morning at 9.30am in preparation for making their Holy Communion on Saturday 28th April.

P3/4 have PE every Tuesday afternoon and it is advisable to bring a change of shoes for this. P4 also have PE on a Thursday afternoon with Miss Donnelly for which they need a change of clothes.

Children in P3/4 visit Carnlough Library every Thursday after break time.  Children are encouraged to borrow and return books during these visits.  If your child does not have a library card, forms are available from the P3/4 classroom or from Carnlough Library.

Friday afternoon is Golden Time for children as a reward for working really hard during the week. Children are allowed to bring a toy or game from home to play with their friends for one hour.

Please keep checking our page to find out more about what we have been learning!

Bye for now!
