Laura's Dream Comes True!

Our P7 pupil, Laura Black, has been chosen to represent North Antrim at the half time games on All-Ireland Hurling Final Day in Croke Park. Laura was chosen from all the Primary Schools in North Antrim, this is a massive achievement, well done Laura! Good Luck from all at St. John's P.S. 


Strictly Classical at the Castle

A selection of our P5,6&7 children will be taking part in 'Strictly Classical at the Castle,' a show in Glenarm Castle on Saturday 26th May. The children will be coming together with other Primary School choirs from the surrounding areas and will be performing four different songs with a full live orchestra. Practises are underway with the children who are very much looking forward to the event.  

Tickets are available to purchase from the Glenarm Castle ticket office.

St. John's P.S Gain Shared Education Funding With Woodlawn P.S, Carrickfergus.


Gardening Club

P5 & P6 pupils have been working together alongside Gary from Inver Garden Centre to plant vegetables in our vegetable patch.  This has demonstrated great team work in our World Around Us topic. 

The children loved this experience and can't wait to watch them grow. 


Northern Health & Social Care Trust Presents the Arts Gala ‘Bridges'

Arts Care and the Northern Health and Social Care Trust have invited pupils from St. John’s P.S to participate in a project which will culminate in a Gala Performance in the Braid Theatre Ballymena on Tuesday 12th June at 7.30pm sharp. Primary 5&6 have been participating in drumming, dancing and choir workshops in both our school and the Hawthorne Centre where they work with Carmel Garvey and Jenny Elliot to create performances which will have a lasting effect on everyone. 

We are honoured that our pupils have had the opportunity to participate in what has been a very special project.
